Bridging the gap in K-Beauty & K-Fashion in the UK

You are probably already familiar with Korean skincare, and you may already know everything about glass skin, barrier-focused routines, and even the Hanbang philosophy behind many Korean formulations. The UK has already embraced K-Beauty, quickly transforming it from a niche category into a global standard. Yet, while Korean beauty has firmly established itself, Korean fashion has remained surprisingly difficult to access.

That is not because the demand is not there. As Korean culture continues to grow in popularity, so too has interest in K-Fashion. But the challenge has always been accessibility. Many Korean retail websites can be difficult to navigate, product information is not always available in English, and perhaps most frustrating of all, shipping times can be unpredictable. As a result, many brands that have helped define contemporary Korean style have remained largely undiscovered by UK shoppers.

Malkn was founded to bridge that gap.

Malkn

Beauty you already trust, made easier to find

At Malkn, we stock Korean skincare and makeup brands that have already proven their value and earned the trust of Korean skincare lovers worldwide. Brands such as Laka and haruharu wonder lead our growing catalogue, but for us, it has never been about quantity.

We focus on providing fast UK delivery, no unexpected import duties, and no waiting weeks for a product you have already decided you need.

We carefully select every brand we introduce, and we never add them in bulk. Take Village 11 Factory, one of the latest additions to our catalogue. It is exactly the kind of brand we love to introduce: established in Korea, trusted by those in the know, yet still relatively undiscovered in the UK.

And K-Fashion is only just arriving

This is where Malkn is focusing right now. Korean fashion has a sensibility that has not really landed in the UK in any meaningful way: clean lines, layering theories, and an ease that happens naturally without trying too hard to get noticed.

It is a style language that has shaped trends across Asia for years, yet remains surprisingly underrepresented in the UK market.

baseThread is one of the first brands we have introduced, and it perfectly reflects the type of label we want to champion: considered, sustainable and at the peak of quality. It is the start of a much bigger edit, not the whole of it.

If K-Beauty transformed the way a generation thinks about skincare, we believe K-Fashion has the potential to reshape how people approach personal style. The interest is already there; what has been missing is access and our goal is to bridge that gap.

What Malkn is

We curate.

Every product on Malkn is chosen on purpose and with the UK customer in mind. That naturally results in a tighter edit than some shoppers might expect, but we see it as a strength rather than a limitation.

We work directly with brands across South Korea to bring together emerging designers and leading beauty names in one destination, combining fashion, beauty, and culture as one instead of treating them as separate categories. That is why Malkn exists as a single platform: style and beauty have always influenced one another, and we believe they should be discovered together.

Our catalogue will continue to grow as we find more brands that genuinely deserve a place on it, rather than having a one-off drop designed to look comprehensive from day one. This also means constantly being selective and declining brands that do not meet the bar, even when they are popular elsewhere.

The gap in the UK market was clear to us. Malkn exists to help close it, one carefully chosen brand at a time.
