All skincare products have a distinct lifespan; for instance, active serums usually last between 6 to 9 months, while cleansers and eye creams can last up to a year. It is always best to check the product’s PAO (Period After Opening) symbol, the small open-jar icon on the packaging displaying a number like 6M or 12M, which dictates exactly how many months the formula remains safe and suitable for use after being unsealed. At the same time, ensure you store these products properly in a cool, dark place between trips to protect them from oxidation (which causes noticeable colour fading or shifting) and bacterial contamination, which commonly occurs with travel sizes since we frequently apply them directly with our fingers.
