Linen Wrap Skirt

Details for TETEROT SALON Linen Wrap Skirt

This skirt is built on the Chima, the pleated skirt worn as part of traditional Hanbok. Traditional Chima are cut from straight, flat panels, which can leave the waistband sitting loosely rather than following the body's curve. Teterot Salon re-cut the waistband from shaped, curved pieces instead, so it fits closer to the waist without losing the pleats' traditional fullness. Those pleats are entirely hand-sewn at even intervals, a traditional Hanbok skill rather than a machine process, and the hemline is hand-finished too, for a cleaner edge. It closes with a wrap-tie waist rather than a fixed size, letting the skirt sit naturally on the body. The linen fabric gives the pleats their body and structure, with the slight texture and occasional slubbing typical of a natural linen weave.

Usage Precautions:
- Please handle with care as dark-coloured items may transfer colour due to friction; avoid pairing with lighter-coloured pieces.
- As a natural linen weave, slight thread clumping, texture irregularities, or small marks from the bio-washing process may appear; this reflects the fabric's character rather than a fault.
Washing Tips:
- Dry cleaning is recommended to maintain the garment's shape and fabric quality.
- Avoid hot water, machine washing, and tumble drying, as they may cause shrinkage, deformation, or colour fading.
- Wash separately to prevent colour transfer, especially for dyed fabrics and dark colours.
- Ensure the garment is completely dry before wearing or storing to prevent discolouration.
- Natural fibre fabrics such as cotton and linen may bleed or yellow due to sweat and friction, so extra care is advised during wear.
